I’ve mentioned here and on social media that I’m anxiously (and impatiently!) waiting for my beach vacation, which will be towards the end of summer. I’m literally counting the days because I’m so excited! In preparation for this trip (and any beach trip), I always do some tweaks to my exercise routine and change my eating habits. My goal in doing this is to look a little better in my swimsuit and to feel a little more confident. It’s something I do just for me, and I don’t really broadcast that I’m doing it. But this year I told someone. And that someone wants to do it with me! She’s not going on my trip, but she has a different goal and thinks that she can achieve her goal by working with me. Sooo, all of this gave me an idea to start a new challenge of sorts. I’m going to call it a 5 Week Body Transformation Challenge, and I’m inviting you to join me on this journey!
What is a 5 Week Body Transformation Challenge?
This will be 5 weeks of changes to your exercise routine, eating plan, resting plan, and mind. To implement every change at the same time would be overwhelming. Therefore, each week will feature a new change. You’ll implement that change every day of that week. When the next week rolls around, you’ll implement a new change, while still maintaining the change from the previous week(s). Got it?
What it isn’t…
This 5 Week Body Transformation Challenge is not about extreme weight loss or anything like that. It’s about making small changes that will compound to have a big (and positive) impact on your body and mind. Also, my goal is specific to me, so you must choose your own goal at the start of the challenge. Make it a S.M.A.R.T goal so you can measure progress at the end. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely. If weight loss is your goal, I can’t guarantee that you’ll lose the total amount of weight that you’re looking to lose by the end of the 5 weeks. However, this challenge will get you started in the right direction and you can go further from there!
Who can do a 5 Week Body Transformation Challenge?
Everyone can do this! We’ll be making improvements like drinking more water, exercising more, cutting sugar, etc. You can get the whole family involved if you want to. Also, invite a friend to do this with you so that he/she can be your accountability partner. It’s always more fun to do a challenge like this with a friend.

- Grab your 5 Week Body Transformation Action Plan here. Think about your goal and write it at the top of the Action Plan, and sign the form at the bottom.
- The Action Plan has two columns on the right side. One is called “3 Things To Do To Achieve My Goal” and the other is “3 Ways to Overcome Obstacles”. These columns will help you be proactive as you plan your week. Set yourself up for success by completing those columns before the start of each week.
- Share this post with your friends, get an accountability partner, then discuss your forms with each other. That helps to make the commitment real!
