Hello friends! I’m so glad you found my little space on the Internet. Some of you know me as the exercise at home girl, but others don’t know who the heck I am! Perhaps you found me via Pinterest, Instagram, or Google. So let me introduce myselfโฆ
Who is This Girl?
I’m an online fitness coach, blogger, fitness professional, nutrition coach, wife, momma of 2, and owner of Wellness With Wendy. I absolutely LOVE to share nutrition, fitness, and wellness solutions so people can move more, eat better, feel better, and look better! The struggle is REAL when it comes to finding ways to do all of that in a sustainable and realistic fashion. But that’s what I’m here for! I’ll help you find solutions that fit your lifestyle.
I haven’t always been in the fitness business, though. In fact, I spent almost 20 years in corporate America. As a Human Resources professional, I learned a ton about business and working with people during those years. But every one of my corporate jobs was fast-paced and super stressful. The stress only intensified when I got married and had children because I had to balance my work and home responsibilities. It was during those intense years that I discovered how much exercise and nutrition helped me find focus, balance, and self-esteem. Keeping up with my health and wellness literally saved my sanity. When my last corporate job left me by way of a massive corporate downsizing, I finally decided to follow my passion for fitness and make it my business.
My business, Wellness With Wendy, meets people where they are by way of solutions for exercise at home, plus wellness and nutrition tips through my blog. My goal is to provide workable and practical solutions for your fitness and wellness needs, wherever you are. That means, if you’re traveling, you can still fit in a quick workout. If you need quick healthy snack tips, I’ve got you covered. If you need motivation to stay on track with your goals, look no further. I’m here to help you!
Now I’ll confess, people ask me: โWhy should I exercise at home with you, Wendy?โ Here are two great reasons:
- No matter your fitness level, I can curate an effective at home workout that is fun, challenging, and will help you reach your goals.
- I offer wellness and nutrition tips to complement your workout program at home based on my nutrition training and coaching experience.
Exercise at Home: What I Provide
On my site, you’ll find 3 different class formats:
HIIT
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes are an incredibly efficient way to exercise because you can build muscle and cardiovascular endurance while working in short intervals with limited recovery. Whenever there are jumping exercises, I’ll show you how to modify the movement to make it lower impact.
Want to know more about the benefits of HIIT workouts? Check out this post HERE!
Barre Fusion
This is the perfect blend of a HIIT class (quick bursts of cardio) and a barre class (small isometric movements designed to build strong and lean muscles). You’ll definitely get your body moving and your heart pumping with the cardio + ballet inspired exercises.
Stretch
After building strength, it’s so essential to stretch your sore muscles. This allows your muscles to lengthen. You’ll gain flexibility and avoid injury by adding stretching sessions to your workout routine.
In addition to the different class formats, I’ll be offering a variety of class lengths too. For those days when you’re short on time, you’ll be able to fit in a quick 10 minute HIIT workout. On the days when you have a little more time, you can do a 30 minute barre fusion workout. That way, you can stay on track with your health and wellness goals even when your schedule fluctuates!
The Wellness With Wendy Site & Community
I want Wellness With Wendy to be a supportive community that helps you find focus and balance in your life. The website will be your hub for on-demand classes. But it will be your hub for much more too! From the website, you can access my blog for fitness, wellness, and health tips. The Wellness With Wendy site will also be your home base for future things such as:
- Community classes – I may come to a location near you for an in-person community class! That’s right, I will be taking Wellness With Wendy classes on the road in the near future. I’ll post community classes on the site, so stay tuned!
- Facebook group – a community is a great way to support and motivate each other. What better way to do this than a Wellness With Wendy Facebook group? This will be closed group for subscribers only. We’ll celebrate and inspire each other to reach our health and wellness goals together.
- Livestream classes – Wanna workout together in real-time? You can workout with me virtually via livestream classes in the very near future! I’ll post livestream classes on the site, so stay tuned!
